Beverly-Hanks A Natural Fit At The Fitzgerald

It’s only natural that The Fitzgerald—Asheville’s premier real estate offering—should team up with Asheville’s premier real estate company: Beverly-Hanks & Associates. From the beginning, Beverly-Hanks’ mission has been to set the real estate standard, not only in Asheville, but throughout the highly sought-after Western North Carolina region. Now, more than three decades later, that mission remains unchanged.  Their success has placed them among the top firms in the state and among the top 250 firms in the nation.

Their strength lies in the ability to provide customers with the services of highly trained, caring professionals—experts who know Asheville and the real estate market like no one else. Each member of their organization shares a commitment to service aimed at building sustainable, long-lasting relationships with customers, clients and the community at large.

Judy Byrd

After selling real estate in Michigan for five years, I chose to move back to Asheville. I had lived here in the past and decided there is no better place to live and work.

I've been a full-time realtor since 1988 and an agent at Beverly-Hanks since moving here in 1993.

I am experienced in selling residential real estate, building lots and acreage. Being a good listener enables me to zero in on your needs. My view of being a realtor is that I'm a member of a team. The buyer or seller is the other part of that team. It's very rewarding working to find that perfect property for a buyer or planning a good marketing plan for a seller.

Having always enjoyed the out-of-doors, living in Western North Carolina is the perfect fit for me. I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening and cooking. I 'm a vegetarian and find the tail-gate markets in and around Asheville a terrific source of fresh, organic food.

I pride myself on having satisfied clients. I'd appreciate the opportunity to help you with your special real estate needs.

Sue Cobb

Sue Cobb’s real estate beginnings took place in the Cleveland, Ohio area in 1985 where she sold for five years and then became the manager of a Smythe/Cramer real estate office (one of the largest independent brokers in the country) which is now Howard Hannah. Since then she has earned several Professional Designations that include ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CNHS (Certified New Homes Specialists), SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and ALHS (Accredited Luxury Home Specialist).

In 1993, Sue and her husband relocated to Asheville and she has built the same professional reputation in this area, dedicating herself to her client’s needs and providing the high level of knowledge and expertise that every buyer and seller want in what is usually the largest investment they will ever make in their life.

On a personal level, she has many interests and hobbies. She has played classical flute since she was nine years old. She loves cooking and entertaining, hiking the fabulous mountain trails and continues her pastimes of knitting and needlepoint. She has one grown son who lives in Asheville and confesses to having two of the most spoiled dogs - but, well behaved! One is a chocolate standard Poodle who is a registered therapy dog with the Delta Society (Paws with a Purpose in Asheville) and the other a Yorkshire Terrier who needs therapy! Sue donates a portion of what she earns to Paws with a Purpose.

Even with her very busy real estate schedule, Sue participates in volunteer activities and is an active member of an international organization called PEO which raises money to help send women to college.
